Dear Chamber Member:
The State Chamber is seeking to send a message to Governor Henry to sign SB 507 and they are asking for your help. As you know, the Bixby Chamber has also included Lawsuit Reform on the Legislative Agenda and last week, we encouraged you to contact your legislators and Governor Henry’s office with your thoughts on the issue.
The State Chamber will be sending a letter (see text below) to Governor Henry asking him to sign SB 507 – if you would like your business name added to the letter, please let us know by email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The Honorable Brad Henry

Dear Governor Henry:
In 2004 you stepped forward and called for “a comprehensive tort reform initiative that will stamp out frivolous lawsuits and prevent abuse to make Oklahoma's civil justice system the ‘best in the nation.’" In that call, you set out 28 key areas of reform that needed to be addressed.
Over the past three years, seven of those 28 have been addressed. You now have the opportunity to address 18 additional areas of reform by signing SB 507. With your leadership in signing this reform bill, Oklahoma will be recognized nationwide as a state that wants to return common sense to our courts and personal responsibility to our society.
